Hey, this is nice: The Washington Post named District Comics one of the top 10 books of 2012. Nick Sousanis and I have a story in it…I’m happy with how it turned out, and glad to be in such good company.
I wish ‘comics’ wasn’t used as shorthand for The Superhero Industrial Complex (meaning, Marvel and DC and those trying to compete on Marvel/DC’s home turf).
I won’t get my wish, but I do get to say it in public. So thanks for that, world of tomorrow!
If you’re a citizen of the United States and registered to vote, please head out to your polling place tomorrow. To paraphrase and quote a little from the late David Foster Wallace’s superb essay “The Weasel, Twelve Monkeys And The Shrub” (originally published by Rolling Stone in 2000), don’t kid yourself into thinking there’s such a thing as not voting.
There is no such thing as not voting.
You either vote by voting, or you vote by staying home and tacitly doubling the value of some Diehard [partisan’s] vote.
So cast your own vote, not somebody else’s.

G.T. Labs and comiXology have teamed up to bring our books to the iPhone/iPad, Android, and Kindle Fire platforms. I’m excited to launch with Fallout, Bone Sharps, Cowboys, and Thunder Lizards, and Two-Fisted Science.
If all goes to plan, all our titles will be available digitally before you’ve finished eating your Halloween candy!
