Critical Conversations: Comics

Join Professor Maya Barzilai, Dr. Gina Brandolino, Professor Phoebe Gloeckner, and (for some reason?) me as we talk about comics storytelling and the cool stuff they’re working!
In case you wondered, for my part, I’ll talk a bit about why comics and science go together so well, and use excerpts of the forthcoming EINSTEIN book to illustrate this.
About “Critical Conversations”: It’s a monthly lunch series organized by the English Department for 2022-23. In each session, a panel of four faculty members give flash talks about their current research as related to a broad theme. Presentations are followed by lively, cross-disciplinary conversation with the audience.
Presentations begin at 12:00 pm, followed by discussion. The session concludes at 2:00.
